R.A., NCARB, OWNER
I am a licensed Architect in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. and have worked In the Architectural field for over twenty years. During that time, I have had the pleasure of working with many private and public clients. I started out working in the corporate field designing office space, moved on to retail stores and spent the last 17 years working on public projects ranging from municipal buildings to public schools. I have extensive knowledge in the application and approval process for private and public projects including a thorough understanding of the constructability issues involved. My extensive field experience in the public sector assists me with creating designs that are buildable and economical.
In 2013, I found myself at a crossroads. Do I continue trying to mold my philosophies on client service; client satisfaction and how people should be treated into another company’s framework or should I strike out on my own? I decided that it was time to take my business full time. I enjoy working with my clients to bring their ideas to life. Meeting with my clients and working hands on with them during the design process is a vital part of my practice. Communication is the key to design. What my client’s want, what they need, what the built space needs to be are all integral factors to how I approach Architecture and each individual project.
Every customer is unique, every job is unique and I personally work with you to create the spaces necessary to fulfill your needs.
The home that you live in and the home that lives in your head: It is our job to listen to your ideas, thoughts and needs and make those two homes one in the same. By talking to you and hearing what the expectations are for your home we can begin the process of design. We listen to how you want your home to perform as an integral part of your daily life. We search for the changes you would make to your new home to enhance your life. We know that listening for what you don’t say about your home can also drive the design. We work together, communicating, searching and discovering.
Once the characteristics and features of your ideal home are fleshed out, we begin the design process. We interpret your ideas into the built space. We create drawings and are living, breathing adaptable documents that we collaborate on together. It is a continual flow of back and forth; of likes and dislikes, wants and needs, necessities and luxuries, until the plan takes shape. It is always more economical to draw your ideas multiple times until we arrive at the correct solution than it is to build your idea once and be wrong.
Once we have ideas in a concrete form, we begin the process of fine tuning the concept with all the final details, specific products and materials to bring your ideas to life. We create the final documents that will be used by the contractor to provide costs and eventually build your project. At the end of this phase your home will be built on paper and ready to be built in reality.

Zoning can effect the plans for your home or… really I have to build the new home crooked?
Zoning ordinances can not only effect where you place your home or home addition, they can directly effect the size and shape. This existing home in Warren, NJ was built in two phases by the original owner. Unfortunately the first addition was built on an angle to the original home. When the new homeowners wanted to enlarge their home to accommodate their growing family, the first step was to review the zoning ordinance.Zoning,
