I am a fully licensed Architect in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. and have worked In the Architectural field for over thirty years.
During that time, I have had the pleasure of working with many private and public clients. I started out working in the corporate field designing office space, moved on to retail stores and spent 17 years working on public projects ranging from municipal buildings to public schools.
I have always maintained my passion for residential design and throughout my early career continually worked in the residential field on my own time to working with homeowners and family members to remodel their homes to fit the needs of their growing and changing families.
I have extensive knowledge in the application and approval process for private and public projects including a thorough understanding of the constructability issues involved. My extensive field experience in both fields assists me with creating designs that are buildable and economical.
In 2013, I found myself at a crossroads. Do I continue trying to mold my philosophies on client service; client satisfaction and how people
should be treated into another company’s framework or should I strike out on my own? I decided that it was time to take my business full time.
I enjoy working with my clients to bring their ideas to life. Meeting with them and working hands on with them during the design process is a vital part of my practice. Communication is the key to design. What my client’s want, what they need, what the built space needs to be are all integral factors to how I approach Architecture and each individual project.
Since I am licensed in three states, we make ourselves available to travel to all three jurisdictions and throughout each state. Project size and duration are also key factors in our decision to take on any project.
We pride ourselves in working on a variety of projects to meet our client’s needs. All projects are reviewed on an individual basis and no project is too small for us to conside
It is very important to me that I listen and understand to what you are expecting to achieve with the project you are undertaking. What are your goals? What about your current house or space do not fit your needs? I pride myself on explaining all the steps required to take a project from preliminary design to construction. I find that it is best to proceed step by step, making sure that all approvals are in place and that each phase is complete before moving on to the next.
The design process alone can take several months to over a year depending on the approvals and permits required. Construction generally takes between four to six months or longer depending on the amount and complexity of the work being done.
Yes, I have several builders that I have worked with on numerous projects that I can recommend to my clients. My belief is to provide you with the contact information of at least three builders that you can meet with and discuss your project. This is important because personality, availability and price all factor in your choice of builder.
Every project is unique, but I generally work on a lump sum basis across the phases of a project. I prefer to price out the project in phases to allow the owner to pause or stop at any point in the process depending on their circumstances. I can also perform any task on an hourly basis.
